自分より、レベルの高い人と付き合いなさい。それに尽きる。普通はそういう人に対して焼きもち焼いちゃうから、自分より下のレベルの人と付き合ってしまう。でもそれじゃあ、得られるものはなかなかないよ。仮にすべて優秀じゃなくて、ある面では自分より劣っても、ある面では優れている人と付き合いなさい。そうすれば、自然と自分のレベルも上がるから。俺がそのことに気づいたのは５年くらい前だけど、だからこそまだまだ若い人たちには早く気づいてもらいたい。考えてみれば、うちの師匠はもちろんのこと、師匠のまわりにいる友達はみんなレベルが上だった。
